Supporting Educational Provision

Redrow works with schools to explain the housebuilding industry, inviting schoolchildren to spend a day on site learning about the industry, the materials used and environmental, health and safety issues.

Members of our construction and health and safety teams regularly visit schools local to developments to educate children on the dangers associated with construction sties. To support these presentations, the “Buster Rules OK” health and safety activity pack has been developed to help children learn about the potential dangers of construction sites. Dressed in all the correct safety clothing and headgear, Buster the bear is the children’s “building buddy” who delivers important messages in a fun and friendly way. Buster Rules OK packs have been delivered to each regional company to forge strong links with primary schools and the communities in and around our developments.

As Redrow upgrades its IT hardware, suitable surplus hardware is often donated to local schools to enhance their IT facilities.
